I have always loved books - when I was a child I was very ill and books proved to be faithful friends who helped me through and overcome the bad days. Books still are and will always be my best friends. I have thousands of them in my home and one sorrow – my life will not be long enough to read them all.

My mother taught me that the best way to get 'healthy, wealthy and wise' is not to waste what you have. From her, I learned how to give a new life to old things, how to make a gorgeous blouse using an old embroidered tablecloth, to knit a lovely purse from an old sweater.
To turn an old book, damaged beyond repair, into a lovely work of art by printing its pages with charming, ancient or Art Nouveau images means, for me, a Cinderella story come true.
The old pages are so fragile, so the process is a bit trickier than one might think; it involves 5 different physical operations, from cutting out the page from the book until printing it. I use a laser printer, which provides a gorgeous print, with rich and durable colors.

I work alone, from scanning old books and postal cards, digitally enhancing the illustrations, conceiving the final images, printing them and preparing the items to be shipped.
My husband helps me to cut out the pages from the books and to 'hunt' the most interesting images from his impressive postal cards collection, gathered in almost 50 years.
We love to spend hours in the antique boutiques in our town and discover wonderful ancient books. I am also a regular visitor of my town library where I constantly discover old books with amazing illustrations.
My daughter helped me to open the shop and taught me everything I know regarding the online publicity.
